The International Pyrotechnic Art Festival is the flagship event of the summer in Cannes. It attracts more than 100,000 spectators for each performance that lasts, on average, 30 minutes. Every summer, it makes its big return and this year it takes place from July 14 to August 24, 2022, in the bay of Cannes for your greatest pleasure. This is a festival that is definitely worth a visit ! We strongly recommend that you go at least once.
This one was created in 1967 thanks to the collaboration between the Ruggieri company and the city of Cannes who decide by common agreement to create something spectacular together : an international fireworks competition.
The aim is to impress the Cannois and the hundreds of thousands of tourists who come to visit Cannes for summer.
The idea is simple : choreograph a firing on a musical soundtrack based on a defined theme. In 2022, the themes are :

- « Goscinny’s Journey », Poland
- « Romeo and Juliette », Norway
- « Ode to Life », Italy
- « Fragile », Canada
- « The gardens of Vesta », Switzerland

Among the greatest Master Artificers who come to exhibit their creation and put it in competition at the Cannes 2022 fireworks display, find :

- « Surex » on July 21 at 10:00 pm : Poland
- « North star fireworks », July 30 at 10:00 pm : Norway
- « San Pio », 8 August at 10 pm : Italy
- « Hands fireworks », August 15 at 10:00 pm : Canada
- « Sugyp », August 24 at 10:00 pm : Switzerland
These 6 competitors compete to win the famous Silver Vestale : an award for the best of them. This precious sesame gives them access to the golden vestal which will take place in 2023.
