No smoking beaches in Nice
In partnership with the Ligue Contre le Cancer, the city of Nice has classed five beaches as officially "no smoking beaches": Plage du Centenaire, Voilier, Bains Militaires, Lenval and Sainte Hélène.
Beaches accessible to people with disabilities
There are two beaches specially equipped to facilitate bathing for people with disabilities: Plage du Centenaire and Plage du Carras.
Windsurfing
For a spot of windsurfing, head to Plage de Lenval where motorboats are prohibited.
Beach in Nice where dogs are allowed
Note that the only beach where pets are allowed is Plage de Carras on the west side, as you head towards Nice airport.
If you prefer quieter, less crowded beaches, head for the smaller coves and beaches on the other side of Nice harbour such as La Resèrve, Plage des Bains Militaires and Coco Beach. They're slightly more difficult to get to, but it's definitely worth the effort as the scenery is simply breathtaking!
