A bike ride on the Promenade des Anglais

Ride along the Promenade des Anglais on a rented bike and take a deep breath of Mediterranean sea air. The 7km Promenade des Anglais is the perfect road to visit the Baie des Anges effort-free. It's a flat road that opens onto the bike path taking you down Avenue Jean Médecin to the sea.

Rack up a few more miles and ride to Nice Port via Quai des Etats-Unis then head to Coco Beach for a seaside picnic.

Two self-service bicycle rental services are available throughout Nice: Lime and Pony. These 2 companies have deployed a fleet of 2,000 two-wheelers in the Nice metropolitan area.

Explore the three corniches

Soak up incredible landscapes as you climb one of the legendary corniches between Nice and Menton: the bottom, middle and top corniches.

The bottom corniche along the shore is your ticket for adventure. Set off from Nice Port and ride across Villefranche-sur-Mer harbour, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula and Beaulieu-sur-Mer until you reach Menton, the pearl of the Côte d’Azur. It's the perfect path for seaside snaps.

If you want to gaze at incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea, hit the middle corniche which stands hundreds of metres above sea level. The former National 7 "Holiday Road" runs through the famous medieval hilltop village of Eze and Mont-Boron which has fabulous views of Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer.

If you like a high-altitude challenge then the top corniche is the one for you. It's more rugged and majestic with spectacular natural sights as you have the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the mountains on the other. Follow in the tyre tracks of top cyclists as you ascend the legendary Col d’Eze mountain pass at an altitude of 500m where the Paris-Nice race final is held every year.
